The KTM star had eight victories in 17 races. He wrapped up the season title with three races left.

“It looked awesome,” offered Roczen of last year’s race. “It looked like a helluva fun race. I’d never seen anything like that before. I’m more than looking forward to riding in Red Bull Straight Rhythm this weekend.Monster Energy AMA Supercross 2016 Live

Honda’s Eli Tomac was second, followed by Yamaha’s Weston Peick.“We really pushed the pace out there tonight and went back forth during the early part of the race” Dungey said about Tomac. “This was a great year. I set a (personal) record for most wins in a season with eight and couldn’t be happier.”

KTM’s Marvin Musquin won the East-West Shootout 250SX race. The Frenchman, the Eastern Regional season champion, had seven victories in nine races.

“It’s like a dream come true tonight,” said Musquin, moving up to 450 next season. “I have never won in Las Vegas before and I used to watch this race back in the day when I was a kid, but tonight it’s my turn. To win my very last supercross race on a 250cc is awesome.”

The Red Bull KTM rider raced his sixth 450 Class victory of the season and 44th overall. “This is absolutely a dream come true, to be a champion,” said Dungey, from Belle Plaine, Minnesota. “This is what you work so hard for but more than anything it takes a strong group around you, with the team, family, trainer and everything. This championship feels more special than the others because I feel like we put more into winning it this time around.

“We had a new bike and I had a new (training) program, and everything worked out to the best it could be. As much as I wanted to clinch the title today, I knew I had two motos ahead of me and didn’t want to get ahead of myself. I came here with every intention of winning both motos, no matter what the scenario was. I could have settled, sure, but I wanted to race to win and make sure I wrapped up today.”

Roczen, who didn’t compete in the inaugural event a year ago, is eager to knock the dust off since closing out the Pro Motocross season, a little over six weeks ago.

“The most challenging aspect of the course will definitely be remembering the jumps. The race can be won or lost anywhere, pretty much. You can get a good start and have a decent-sized gap but if you make the slightest mistake or somebody is better than you on certain parts of the track, it’ll cost you big time. But, you can make up time pretty quickly so I think it’s going to be pretty close racing.” Monster Energy AMA Supercross 2016 Live watch now

James Davison is hitting his straps in the Pirelli World Challenge, taking his second race win of the season for Nissan at Road America.

Davison, the cousin of V8 racers Will and Alex, fought past former F1 racer Tomas Enge’s Lamborghini for the lead halfway through the race and didn’t look back, beating Ryan Dalziel’s Porsche home by three seconds.

Added to a second-place finish in the opening race of the weekend, Davison had a very good weekend in Wisconsin against quality opposition.

AMASX Supercross 2016 Series to Premiere on Fox Network (Video)

The 2016 Monster Energy Supercross television package on FOX Sports is a testament to the network’s strengthening commitment to help grow the Monster Energy Supercross brand,” said Ken Hudgens, COO, Feld Motor Sports. “The 2016 television package is the strongest ever and signifies a major milestone with the first ever live airing on FOX Broadcast Network. The riders, teams, manufacturers, sponsors, and entire sport will be elevated by the live network broadcast on FOX. This is a major announcement that is great for everyone involved, including the broad viewing audience.

A key change to the races in 2016 will be the start time for all races (except E Rutherford). Each race will start 30 minutes earlier, at 7:00pm local race time, with the afternoon pit parties also starting 30 minutes earlier at Noon local race time. This is a better race time, and television time, for Monster Energy Supercross fans, including those on the east coast.

Tickle’s run of consecutive top-10 finishes stalled last weekend, at nine, after an incident with two laps to go left him 11th in the final rundown at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. In 14 starts this season, Tickle has amassed 11 top 10s and tied his career-best result with a fourth-place effort in Round 9 at the Georgia Dome.

Despite being sidelined with an injury for Round 5 in Anaheim, Tickle currently sits eighth in the standings and trails seventh-place Jason Anderson by 20 points and sixth-place Blake Baggett by only 22.

“The bike has been fast all season but we’re still trying to close the deal and get a podium,” explained Tickle. “We worked on outdoor stuff on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday so I’m hoping when we get to New Jersey that changing things up will have helped.

While Tickle’s teammate Ken Roczen remains sidelined for the rest of the 2015 season, the 20-year-old German rider was on hand for the series press event at Grand Central Terminal inside New York City’s Vanderbilt Hall. Roczen will also be in attendance at Metlife Stadium this weekend to support Tickle, meet fans and fulfill sponsor commitments.

We are excited to offer this Saturday’s Monster Energy Cup once again on the FOX broadcast network with a condensed 90-minute airing on Sunday, October 18th,” said Mark Abernethy, Vice President of Licensing, Feld Entertainment. “This gives all fans of the sport who may not be able to witness the race live on FS2, or in person at Sam Boys Stadium, the opportunity to re-live the action from the comfort of their own homes.

The FOX Sports broadcast team of Ralph Sheheen, Jeff Emig and Jenny Taft returns in 2015, with guest analyst appearances from five-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael.

This is a great opportunity to expose the high-flying, adrenaline-filled sport of supercross to the widest possible audience,” said Patrick Crakes, FOX Sports Programming, Research & Content Strategy. “A one million-dollar Las Vegas all-star event is a fantastic bridge between racing seasons for the popular Monster Energy Supercross series … it serves as the perfect appetizer for the 2016 season

The Carmichael-inspired track design will consist of supercross and motocross obstacles unlike any other racetrack design in the world. The Monster Energy Cup posts a $250,000 purse with the winner walking away with a $100,000 check, and any rider that wins all three Main Events will take home $1 million.

Unique to the 2015 Monster Energy Cup will be the AMSOIL Arch, which is a large, 150′ sweeper turn so massive that it will extend into the grandstands, and a new spin on the devious Joker Lane built as an “S” turn on the start straight.

Dungey took a few days off after the 2016 season finale in October before he began daily training for the 2016 Monster Energy Supercross season, which begins Saturday at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. While participants in other forms of motorsports get antsy during long offseasons, motocross riders hardly step away from their bikes before they’re back on them.

“When we’re not riding, we’re training,” Dungey told USA TODAY Sports. “It takes a special kind of person to do this. Even though it’s nice to have a couple of weeks off, we’re all right back into it as soon as we can. You can’t let all those years that have built up get away from you. You’re constantly building to be stronger and better.

The 2015 Monster Energy Supercross television package on FOX Sports is a testament to the network’s strengthening commitment to help grow the Monster Energy Supercross brand,” said Ken Hudgens, COO, Feld Motor Sports.

For 2016, the Fox Sports broadcast team includes Ralph Sheheen, Jeff Emig and Jenny Taft, with guest analyst appearances from five-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael.

The 2016 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series will feature many rookies, though some past champions will be missing, including four-time SX Champ Ryan Villopoto, who moves to FIM MXGP, and two-time SX Champ James Stewart, who is suspended due to an anti-doping violation.

“It is truly a pleasure to be approaching our seventh year of amateur supercross on the legendary Daytona International Speedway,” said Tim Cotter, Director of MX Sports. “We have been able to design a supercross track suitable for all ages and skill levels with the help of 15-time Champion Ricky Carmichael. However, the track will still maintain the same historic element that the best athletes of the world just competed on the night before.”

With 35 years of experience operating the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at the historic Loretta Lynn Ranch, MX Sports is looking forward to producing this special two-day amateur supercross event at the World Center for Speed, Daytona International Speedway. Unlike the National format, riders do not need to qualify to participate at the event.

After a successful broadcast of round two of the championship, where thousands of people from across Australia and the globe tuned in to all of the racing LIVE, this weekend, Supercross will once again be brought to the big screen, with racing brought to life thanks to NRGTV.

With Jimboomba (J2) showcasing a whole new track layout this weekend there is no doubt the best way to watch will be live at the track, however for those living interstate and those not able to make it out to this sensation venue you can still see all of the racing action live via www.nrgtv.com.au/live.

Fullnoise.com.au will once again embed the live stream in the top article on Saturday evening to make even easier to locate the live broadcast.

With the likes of Daniel Reardon and Matt Moss battling for a 2015 SX1 Supercross Championship, and plenty of battles emerging across all other classes, this is an event not to be missed.

To watch simply tune in to NRGTV on the front page of the Fullnoise.com.au website on Saturday the 21st of November from 6:00pm and don’t miss a minute of round four of the Australian Supercross Championship being broadcast LIVE from Queensland.

As far as training, I do feel like in the past I may have done too much and peaked too early in the season. Back when I was racing 250’s we always trained hard so we would be prepared for the West coast, but then if I raced East coast I was almost ready too early. More recently I have been trying to find the happy medium of being prepared, but without burning myself out too early. It’s kind of tough to fully relax though, because there is a sense of urgency with the hype of the new season. I’ve been blessed to have the right people around to help me find the right balance as we fine-tune the new bike.

2016 American Motocross Majors, making it among the five premier amateur motocross events in the country. The event will include OEM support, contingency along with the industry’s leading companies in attendance following the pro racing action. Long-time event sponsors who have helped build this event into a mainstay on the schedule, will return to support and activate during the weekend.

The documentary series features several installments throughout the 17-race season, and the one-hour exclusive television special previewing the upcoming championship debuts Sunday, December 20 at 7:00 p.m.ET/ 4:00 p.m. PT.

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ237KRginvAC-C33fqU-RaTFS1twFwpt_e4QaaSP-fImme4M6adQThe season preview episode, which debuts this Sunday on December 20th, will profile the most prominent offseason topics heading into the opening race from Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, on January 9. With a second 450SX Class title under his belt, Red Bull KTM”s Ryan Dungey will look to defend a championship for the first time in his career. Since joining forces with star trainer Aldon Baker prior to the 2015 season, Dungey has arguably reached his maximum potential as a rider and will be a favorite to repeat as champion this season.

After pacing Dungey for most of the 2015 season and finishing runner-up in the championship, Monster Energy Kawasaki”s Eli Tomac is with a new team and on a new bike for 2016, stepping into the spot once occupied by retired four-time champion Ryan Villopoto. Tomac continues to progress since moving into the 450SX Class and is considered to be one of Dungey”s primary threats entering his third season of premier class competition.

After winning the Monster Energy Cup in October, similar attention has been given to RCH Soaring Eagle/Jimmy John”s/Suzuki Factory Racing”s Ken Roczen. The reigning back-to-back winner of the Anaheim opener has a penchant for starting strong and after injuries derailed his title hopes a year ago, he”s back with renewed confidence and experience entering his second year with the Ricky Carmichael and Carey Hart-owned team and will look to become the first German-born champion in Monster Energy Supercross history.

In addition to these three title favorites, Chasing the Dream will also go in depth into the anticipated return of Team Yoshimura Suzuki”s James Stewart, the move of veteran Davi Millsaps to his third team in as many seasons and the graduation of high profile rookies Marvin Musquin and Justin Bogle into the sport”s elite and most competitive division.

“As the sport of Monster Energy Supercross continues to grow, reaching larger audiences both at the races and on television, it is imperative that fans of the sport have the opportunity to learn more about its athletes,” said Dave Prater, senior director of supercross, Feld Motor Sports. “These competitors are truly special and the sacrifices they make stand alone in the sporting world. The requirements of winning a Monster Energy Supercross title essentially consumes these riders” every move. It has become a necessity in today”s era of unprecedented competition and Chasing the Dream allows us to provide an unparalleled look into their personal lives as well as what goes on behind the scenes on race day.

announced today that Mayra Tinajero will join Race Day Live presented by AMSOIL at select Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship, races in 2016. She will serve as pit reporter, joining Race Day Live presented by AMSOIL hosts Jim Holley and Andy Bowyer.

Tinajero has appeared on the cover of Maxim magazine and has been involved with Monster Energy Supercross as a Monster Energy Model during the last three seasons. She is an avid dirt bike rider and off road enthusiast.

“It’s fantastic to get the opportunity to evolve from Monster Girl to pit reporter for Race Day Live presented by AMSOIL,” said Tinajero. “As a longtime fan of Monster Energy Supercross, I’ve always made an effort to keep up with what is going on with the athletes and the standings throughout the season, and now as pit reporter for Race Day Live presented by AMSOIL, I’m thrilled to take on the responsibility to deliver that vital information to the viewers and fans
